Danko Jones Tapped For Nickelback Tour

NEW YORK (Razor & Tie Records) - Powerhouse rock trio and Razor & Tie recording artists Danko Jones have been tapped to support Nickelback on their upcoming Canadian tour. The tour kicks off at the CN Centre in Prince George, British Columbia on January 17th, 2006. The hard-working, charismatic Canadian band has been on tour criss-crossing the United States, Europe and Canada since the American release of their album, WE SWEAT BLOOD in April of this year.

In between global tour dates, the band managed to find time to record new songs; Danko Jones' highly-anticipated new album, SLEEP IS THE ENEMY, is now slated for a May, 2006 release in the United States. The first single from the album will be "First Date". The band will shoot the corresponding video in their native Canada in February of next year.

Of their most recent album (WE SWEAT BLOOD), Maxim stated, "Go to the store. Buy this record...It's bone-crushing riffs, arena-ready drumbeats, and catchy choruses will instantly transform you", while Spin declared the album to contain, "Big-riffing, Aerosmith-quoting stalker anthems". NME asserted that Danko Jones "might just be the best band in the world".
