The first HOLY SHIP!, whichsailedlast January, from Ft. Lauderdale, FL, to Port Lucaya and a private island in the Bahamas, was considered a life-changing experience by both artists and fans. "This was the year the media have decided to write about the rise of the American 'EDM' scene, but HARD has been building it for the past several years with their events; and this cruise nailed the real sense of community that exists here," said Nick Catchdubs, co-founder of the influential Fool's Gold Records, of the inaugural cruise as told to Josh Baron in the March 2012 issue of Relix.

Artists who appeared on the maiden voyage of HOLY SHIP! included Fatboy Slim, Laidback Luke, Rusko, Diplo, A-Trak, Steve Aoki, Skrillex, Tommy Lee & DJ Aero, Brodinski, Buraka Som Sistema, Gesaffelstein, Justin Martin, Zedd, DJ Craze, Dillon Francis, Destructo, Danny Brown, Dave Nada, Egyptrixx, Rory Phillips, Club Cheval, Jason Bentley, Posso, Doorly, Oliver, Gina Turner, Nick Catchdubs, Arthur Baker, Contra and Mike Deuce.
