JUMP 樂團 is a band from Sandimen in southern Taiwan's Pingtung County. The four band members belong to the LAULAUZAN indigenous tribe. The lyrics to the song "小米酒" (which means "millet wine" in English) were written by the band's singer/frontman 小沙 (aka KABALU) who also wrote the melody. It blends Mandarin Chinese lyrics with sentences sung in the indigenous language of the LAULAUZAN people. It is an ode to the favorite tipple of many Taiwanese aboriginal people—millet wine—, and describes how it helps in drowning one's sorrows. JUMP 樂團 was part of a 13-band line-up of local and international bands that performed at the annual Kenting Grass Roots Music Festival (墾丁草根音樂會) in 2017. The music festival is always held on a weekday during the first week of May in Kenting, a resort town at the southern tip of subtropical Taiwan.
