The Four Preps - Calcutta (1961)

Charted at #96 on Billboard Hot 100 in February 1961. After the Lawrence Welk instrumental version of this song became a big hit, this vocal version was rushed out by the Four Preps. It's quite good! Original Billboard review: "The Four Preps turn in a bright vocal reading of the current instrumental hit, backed solidly by a band with a real beat." Written by Lee Pockriss, Paul J. Vance and Heino Gaze. B-side is "Gone are the Days".
