Poet and reporter Kwame Dawes discusses the tensions between two different schools of thought on how best to address the problem of HIV/AIDS in Haiti. One approaches the disease as a part of a continuum of interconnected health issues, the other as a unique problem in need of isolated solutions specific to the disease.
This is the first in a series of video diaries recorded in the field by Andre Lambertson. See all related reporting from the project "Voices from Haiti" (http://bit.ly/rdk0fp), including poetry, photography and print reporting.
