After several successful years of hit-making for the Capitol label, Starr signed with RCA Victor where this first release in early 1955 managed to reach only as high as #44 on the Cash Box charts and #76 on Music Vendor (uncharted on Billboard’s shorter lists). The song itself showed much greater appeal in England, peaking at #4 in a recording by Ruby Murray with Anne Warren. The unbilled child’s voice on this track was that of eleven year-old Jan Wintz.
Transferred and digitally processed from the original 45rpm: RCA Victor 47-5999 - If Anyone Finds This I Love You (Lippman-Dee) by Kay Starr, orchestra and chorus conducted by Harold Mooney.
