白い炎 - White Flame Hetalia Character CD II Vol. 7 - Russia Sung by Yasuhiro Takato English translation and artwork by Tagami (Tagami2nightmare) Seeing that no one had shown signs of translating this rather lengthy song, I decided to take matters into my own hands. It's been a long time since I've handled any serious translation work, but in the end, it was an immense learning experience, so I'd like to think it was worth the effort. So here is my translation of Russia's newest character song, "White Flame", which has become my favorite Hetalia song to date for many reasons. It shows further insight into Russia's personality while retaining a strong bittersweet atmosphere. Some of the original lyrics have rather lovely imagery attached, which I hope to have captured at least some degree of with my translation. As for the artwork, I wanted to include something representing some ideas and feelings I visualized once I finished the translation work. Doing this also gave me the perfect opportunity to draw Russia in my style, which was fun in itself, haha. Thank you to everyone who supported me through this process!
