Heart and Soul / Decades – two of three Joy Division tracks New Order played together with a twelve-piece Synthesizer orchestra on the opening weekend of Wiener Festwochen at Vienna's Museum Quarter on 12.05.2018, almost 38 years to the day since Ian Curtis took his own life in May 1980. The band has played at Vienna only on two rare occasions (1984, 2012) hardly ever performing any of the old Joy Division tracks, so this is the very first time these seminal songs from the second and final Joy Division album "Closer" have ever been performed live at Vienna. Decent audio yet bad video quality due to crappy iPhone zoom, but still a piece of music history and a moment to remember.
