NCAA Baseball - Louisville vs Indiana Pitcher Ejection
Louisville Cardinals pitcher Michael McAvene was ejected during an NCAA regional game against Indiana following a ball three call by home plate umpire Ken Langford.
HP Umpire Ken Langford ejected McAvene after the reliver appeared to say "that's horrible" to the umpire in response to Langfords' motion that McAvene's 2-2 pitch was located off the plate and inside.
Unfortunately, the television feed cut out just as play resumed and batter Ryan Fineman's called third strike and subsequent post-participation ejection for yelling at umpire Langford after the game was over did not make it to broadcast.
The benches cleared following the final out of the college baseball game. Still photos show that the teams had to be separated by police following their post-game skirmish. The broadcast was restored just after the police pulled the teams apart.
