Biography
Dotan Harpenau (born 26 October 1986), better known by his stage name Dotan, is a Dutch singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. 
Dotan was born in Jerusalem and grew up in Amsterdam. 

On January 31, 2014 Dotan released his studio album, 7 Layers in Paradiso. This album was produced by Dotan himself. The album quickly reached number 2 on the Dutch Top 100 Charts. 
The first single 'Fall' was released on January 17. The second single released is called 'Home'. 'Home' was nominated SuperCrazyTurboTopHit, 3FM Megahit and Alarmschijf on Dutch Radio. 
Next to weeks at number one in the Dutch iTunes top 100, Home entered the Dutch MegaTop50 at number 1 and peaked at this chart for 4 weeks. Home became number one in Belgium on August 22. 

7 Layers reached the Gold status on 25 August and "Home" reached Double Platinum status. This also happened in Belgium. 

Dotan's Home reached number two on the Next Big Sound chart of American Entertainment website Billboard. 
The album 7 Layers is in the top 5 of most streamed albums in the Netherlands on Spotify. His song "Home" was used in first episode of season 2 of the TV Show "The 100".
