Biography
The girls duo Alpenzusjes are from the Netherlands, to be more clear from the province of Limburg. Because Limburg's border with Belgium, Luxemburg and Germany, the music there is more related to the German Schlager.De Alpenzusjes therefore sing mainly songs in that style, partly covers from German Schlagers or German Volksmusik.
But they are also succesful with their own original songs.
They begun their career in 1980, and after a short periode that the duo stopped they found each other again in 2005 and made a comeback.
'De Tyroler Baby Sitter Song' and 'Sneeuwwals Uit Mijn Dorpje' are among their most popular tracks.
For those who are Dutch: the name of this duo is NOT "De Alpenzusjes" but just "Alpenzusjes" !!!!
