Their debut, A Guidance from Colour - EP, was recorded with Romesh Dodangoda (Funeral for a Friend, Glassjaw, Kids In Glass Houses) at Long Wave Studios in Cardiff and it was released January 14th 2008. Prior to this the band's first single Audience And Audio was released on 24th December 2007 in digital format. The EP is now out of print but can still be purchased in digital format.

What Is Light? Where is Laughter? was released on September 29th 2008 by King Tuts Recordings. To celebrate this, the band played to a sold out crowd at King Tuts. They also performed two acoustic instore signings at the Glasgow Fopp stores whilst touring with The Subways, and in doing so gave a hint of new material and a cover of 'Fall At Your Feet' by Crowded House.

Twin Atlantic spent a lot of time on the road during 2008, including a joint tour with The Xcerts. In the summer of 2008 the band played numerous festivals including - Rock Ness, Live At Loch Lomond, Connect, T In The Park and Belladrum. They rounded off the year with a secret, late night show at Glasgow Barfly, which has now closed it's doors.

2009 proved to be just as busy for the band. Having completed a small UK tour, with a sold out show at the QMU, Glasgow, the band played the SXSW festival in Texas, before travelling to LA to record their debut album. On their return from the US, they toured the UK again with many more dates to promote the album.

Their debut album Vivarium was released on 14 September 2009 with the album's first single Lightspeed released in June 2009 as a free download. You're Turning Into John Wayne was released as the first single proper on 7 September 2009. They are currently signed to Red Bull Records. Vivarium was recorded in Los Angeles in March 2009, produced by John Travis.

After Vivarium they spent a lot of time working on new material, and travelling Europe and the US in high profile support roles. Summer 2010 consisted of playing mainstage of Rockness and Belladrum - Tartan Heart Festival.

They then returned to the US to record their debut album "Free" which is set for release on Monday, 2 May. The first single "Edit Me" was released on Monday, 14 February and peaked at number 4 in the iTunes rock charts.

Having just completed a small UK tour, they are back in Glasgow recording b-sides for the album and preparing for the album tour - including a headline show at the Glasgow Barrowlands on Friday, 6 May.
