Giorgos Tsalikis is a Greek singer.
Giorgos Tsalikis was born in Stilida on 25 October 1975. He is the son of Vasilis and Evgenia Tsaliki. He studied medicine in Romania and as he recalls ‘The moment I got on a bus to Bucharest, an unknown destination to me, was a nightmare. This brought tears to my eyes.’ Being a stranger amid strangers he started a new chapter in his life in a town that changed his life. One night in Bucharest was enough to totally change his life course. While partying with his fellow University students at a Greek night club called ‘Olympia Pallas’ and having drunk a bit more Giorgos stood up, took the microphone and managed to entertain all the people present not only with his voice but also with his choice of repertoire. The next day he made a significant life changing decision. He decided to begin his singing career instead of becoming a doctor. Despite this decision, he completed his studies in 1998, got his degree and returned to Greece.
