Biography
Priory is an American electro-pop band formed in 2009 in Portland, Oregon. The band is composed of songwriters Brandon Rush and Kyle Sears. Priory signed to Warner Bros. Records in the spring of 2014. Their sound is a blend of electronic instrumentation and heavy folk guitar. Their debut album, Priory, was released in June 2011 on Expunged Records. 

In 2010, Priory recorded an EP with Skyler Norwood who produced Priory and indie favorites such as Talkdemonic, Viva Voce, Blind Pilot, and Horse Feathers. In 2011 Priory went back into the studio to finish the self-titled, full-length album, Priory, which was released June 21, 2011. They played at Portland's top venues including the Doug Fir, the Holocene and Mississippi Studios. They have appeared at music festivals such as Neon Reverb in Las Vegas. They were listed in Deli Magazine's top five emerging bands from Portland in 2010. They were also featured on the live radio show, Live Wire. They have been likened to Arcade Fire and The Head and the Heart. On June 30th, 2014, Priory released their single "Weekend" on iTunes. It has peaked at number 22 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart.
