Biography

Joel Brandenstein is a German pop singer from Ratingen, who became famous on the Internet.
Joel Brandenstein fire started around 2008 with the publication of music on the Internet. In May 2011, he opened a YouTube channel with a cover version of 'Was immer du willst' from Marlon Knauer, when he accompanied himself on piano. In the following years there followed by numerous other web videos with German and English ballads. Nearly a dozen of them reached seven-digit access numbers, with its version of 'Wolke 7' of Max Herre, he even came to over 4.5 million views.
2014 started Brandenstein a personal initiative to publish his debut single. He upload the song written by himself 'Diese Liebe' on his website and put it in the online stores. Also he produced a real music video which was set a few days after launch on YouTube. Despite the limited reach of its Internet advertising, the song was released on 12 December and reached high demand in the first days of the Top 5 iTunes charts in Germany and was also successful in Switzerland and Austria. During Christmas week, the song climbed into the Top 20 in the German charts.
