Biography

Natalie La Rose is a Dutch recording artist from Amsterdam. In 2013, she signed a recording contract with American musician Flo Rida's International Music Group imprint and Republic Records.

Natalie was born and raised in Amsterdam. Her parents are of Surinamese descent. Natalie cites Beyonce, Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson, Musiq Soulchild and Stevie Wonder among her musical influences.

At the age of 20, Natalie moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams of becoming a singer and dancer. In 2010, she got her first opportunity when she was signed to Blackground/Interscrope records as part of the musical duo Amsterdam. However, Natalie says of this situation: "The group didn’t work out, and no music was released. It just wasn’t the right time."

In 2011 while at an ESPY Awards after party, she went up to Flo Rida and told him that she was going to work with him one day. Impressed with her confidence, the multi-platinum international superstar invited her to the studio. Over the next two years, she performed with Flo around the world. In 2013, she officially inked a deal with his International Music Group (I.M.G.) label and Republic Records.
On January 6, 2015, Natalie released her debut single, "Somebody". The song features Def Jam recording artist Jeremih.

Jeremih Felton (born July 17, 1987 in Sherman, Texas) is an American R&B singer signed to Def Jam Recordings. With guidance from his cousin Willie Taylor, of DAY26 fame, he released his debut single Birthday Sex in March 2009, and it ended up peaking at number four on the Billboard Hot 100. His self-titled debut album was released in June of 2009, and debuted at number six on the Billboard 200.
