Biography

Tourist Lemc (often simply called Tourist), pseudonym of John Faes (Schoten, 1984 ) is a Belgian hiphop - and cabaret artist. His greatest musical influence is the French hip-hop scene of the late nineties. His music is characterized by influences from reggae, but also from the cabaret and folk. 

On 23 December 2010 he released his debut album Antwerp Testament via the label Eigen Makelij and in 2012 he reached the final of Humo's Rock Rally , the most important musical competition in Flanders. 
In 2013 Antwerp Testament was reissued under the Dutch hip-hop label TopNotch. The album was completely remastered and there were two bonus tracks added. 
In 2014 he released two EPs in preparation for a new album which is expected early 2015. This EPs engagements include a cover of 'Ik wil deze nacht in de straten verdwalen' of Wannes Van de Velde and a reworking of the song 'De twaalf zakken miljonairs' of John Lundström. Van de Velde and Lundström his cabaret legends from both Antwerp and an inspiration for Tourist.
