Dawin


Dawin (born Dawin Polanco raised in Brooklyn, New York) is a Dominican-American Singer/Song Writer/Producer who immersed himself into the arts of music at a very early age. Over the years Dawin acquired much expertise in different instruments and styles of music. However, learning how to play the guitar at the age of four was the launch pad for Dawin's artistic career. He also plays piano and uses his knowledge of music to produce songs. 

He's a musician with extensive knowledge obtained on stage with concert experience already by the age of eleven as a guitarist. In his youth, Dawin wanted to do more with his musical talents so he began writing lyrics and singing at a young age and combined that with his ability to play guitar and produce music. His versatility and rich dynamic is what distinguishes Dawin as a unique artist at every professional level. 

Coming from a Hispanic background, Dawin grew up in the midst of tropical sounds from his native country and the emerging pop artists of his time. His influences include Beyonce, Jay-Z, Ne-Yo, Alicia Keys, Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Brian McKnight, John Mayer, Jamie Foxx and Juan Luis Guerra. However most of his inspiration comes from song writers and producers that focused on differentiating concepts of music that made it acceptable to the ears of all crowds. To name a few; Quincy Jones, Timbaland, Diane Warren, R.Kelly, Claude Kelly, etc. 

Dawin is currently working on contributing his music and lyrics to other artists as well as achieving grander success in the music industry by being a performer, producer, songwriter, and role model. His projects will include his music production, lyrical composition, (of course no limitation as to the people who are willing to be involved in it) and most importantly his favorite way to express himself overall, doing what he loves to do. Dawin is the true definition of a triple threat, a true artist, an absolute sensation. He is truly passionate with everything he does with music. He is the definition of greatness and for this young man, the sky is the limit.
