Biography
Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll (born 11 September 1991), commonly known by his stage name Kygo, is a Norwegian DJ and record producer. He garnered international attention with his remix of the track "I See Fire" by Ed Sheeran, which has been played about 33 million times on SoundCloud and 48 million times on YouTube; and his single "Firestone" which has over 90 million views on YouTube as of September 2015. Kygo has accumulated over 200 million views on his music on Soundcloud and YouTube.
After a breakthrough in 2014, he was asked by Coldplay vocalist Chris Martin to create a remix for the song "Midnight". On 1 December 2014, he released his first single "Firestone", featuring vocals from Conrad (mononym for Conrad Sewell). In February, he released the official Ultra Music Festival theme song, "ID". On 15 March 2015, he released his third single, titled "Stole the Show". On 31 July 2015 he released his fourth single, "Nothing Left", featuring vocals by Will Heard and this reached the top position on the Norwegian singles chart. On 4 September 2015, he released his fifth single, titled "Here for You" featuring vocals by Ella Henderson.
Ella is a big fan of Amy Winehouse and Frank Sinatra and picked out Olly Murs and Leona Lewis as her favorite X Factor contestants from previous series’ of the show. Ella confessed that she'd love to sing with Adele or Beyoncé.
Her debut single, "Ghost", co-written with Ryan Tedder, was released on 8 June 2014 and went straight to number one in the UK. Her second single, Glow, was released on 5 October 2014. It was followed on 13 October 2014 by her debut album Chapter One.
