Biography
Sidney Selby III (born 1997 or 1998), better known as his stage name Desiigner, is an American hip hop recording artist and songwriter from Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, New York City, New York. Desiigner initially gained major recognition for his single "Panda" after it was sampled in Kanye West's song "Pt. 2" in The Life of Pablo, which went on to inspire freestyles from many artists. On February 11, 2016, Kanye West announced Desiigner's signing to the GOOD Music imprint, under the aegis of Def Jam Recordings.

Desiigner released his commercial debut single, titled "Panda" on YouTube and SoundCloud on December 20, 2015. On February 11, 2016, Desiigner signed to GOOD Music, under Def Jam Recordings. Later, Desiigner was featured on Kanye West's seventh album, The Life of Pablo, appearing on the tracks "Pt. 2" (which featured an interpolation of "Panda") and "Freestyle 4". Desiigner's rapping voice has been compared to Future's rapping voice. While talking about those comparisons, he told Complex: "God gave him a blessing, but he gave me a blessing too.
