Biography

Artik & Asti is a prominent pop duo originating from Ukraine, renowned for their fusion of electronic dance music and emotive pop ballads. Formed in 2010 by producer and rapper Artyom Umrikhin (known professionally as Artik), the group initially featured vocalist Anna Dzyuba (Asti).

Artyom Umrikhin, born on December 9, 1985, in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine, developed an early passion for hip-hop, recording his first songs at the age of 12. He later co-founded the group Karaty, which gained popularity in Kyiv. In 2010, seeking a fresh musical direction, Artik discovered Anna Dzyuba's vocal recordings online. Impressed by her talent, he invited her to collaborate, leading to the creation of Artik & Asti. Their debut single, "Моя последняя надежда" ("My Last Hope"), released in 2011, quickly gained traction online, amassing over a million views on YouTube within months.

The duo's discography showcases their versatility and growth:
- #РайОдинНаДвоих (2013): Their debut album introduced their signature blend of heartfelt lyrics and electronic beats.
- Здесь и сейчас (2015): This platinum edition album solidified their presence in the CIS pop scene.
- Номер 1 (2017): Featuring hits like "Неделимы" ("Indivisible"), which topped various charts.
- 7 (Part 1 & 2) (2019–2020): These mini-albums commemorated seven years of their collaboration, with tracks like "Грустный дэнс" ("Sad Dance") earning them the Golden Gramophone Award.
- Миллениум X (2021): An album that continued their tradition of blending electronic rhythms with pop sensibilities.
Their music often explores themes of love, heartbreak, and personal growth, resonating with a broad audience across Eastern Europe and beyond.

Artik & Asti have received numerous accolades throughout their career:
Golden Gramophone Award for "Грустный дэнс" in 2019.
Song of the Year for "Девочка, танцуй" ("Girl, Dance") in 2020.
Nominations for "Best Promotion" by Russian MusicBox in 2014.
Their consistent chart performance and widespread radio play underscore their impact on the pop music landscape.

In November 2021, Anna Dzyuba departed from the duo to pursue a solo career under the name Anna Asti. She released her debut solo album, Feniks, in 2022, followed by Tsaritsa in 2023, both achieving significant success in Russian-speaking countries.

Following her departure, Seville Velieva joined as the new vocalist, continuing the Artik & Asti legacy. The reformed duo released the EP Качели ("Swings") in February 2024, featuring the title track that garnered critical acclaim.

In November 2024, Artyom Umrikhin announced his exit from the project, leaving Seville to helm the act.

Over more than a decade, Artik & Asti have left an indelible mark on the Eastern European music scene. Their fusion of electronic dance elements with poignant lyrics has resonated with fans, earning them a place among the most influential pop acts in the region.
Their journey from online discovery to chart-topping success exemplifies the dynamic nature of modern music careers, highlighting the power of digital platforms in shaping contemporary pop culture.
