Biography
Mabel McVey (born 20 February 1996), known professionally as Mabel, is a British singer and songwriter. Born in Málaga and raised in London, she is the daughter of Swedish singer Neneh Cherry and Massive Attack record producer Cameron McVey.
Mabel had her mainstream breakthrough in 2017, with "Finders Keepers" becoming her first UK top-10 single. She is nominated for British Breakthrough Act at the upcoming 2019 Brit Awards.
Mabel started her career in 2015 with her debut single, "Know Me Better". In 2017, she impacted UK charts with "Finders Keepers", which peaked at number 8 on the UK Singles Chart. She has since released her 2017 debut extended play Bedroom, as well as a mixtape, Ivy to Roses.
Mabel opened for Harry Styles during the European part of the second leg of his tour Harry Styles: Live on Tour.
After her tour with Styles, Mabel embarked on her own headline tour through the United Kingdom and Europe. In 2018, she was featured on "Ring Ring" alongside rapper Rich the Kid and remixer Jax Jones. Also in 2018, she re-released her 2017 mixtape Ivy to Roses with new cover art, and songs released since the initial release. Mabel is currently working on her debut album.
