Equinox

Equinox are a Bulgarian band made up of five members. Zhana Bergendorff, Georgi Simeonov and Vlado Mihailov are all from Bulgaria. Johnny Manuel and Trey Campbell are the American additions to the band. In 2017, Johnny, who is from Michigan, reached the semi-finals of America's Got Talent.Trey is an LA-based songwriter and has penned hits for the likes of Dua Lipa and Bebe Rexha.
Zhana won the Bulgarian X Factor in 2013 while Georgi has taken part in X Factor Romania. Vlado sang backing vocals for Bulgaria's Eurovision 2017 entry and has done the Bulgarian dubbing for films like Frozen.

Bulgarian broadcaster BNT decided that Equinox would represent the country at Eurovision 2018. The band was formed specifically for the competition by Symphonix International. Georgi Simeonov initially approached composer Borislav Milanov for a suitable song. Boris then handed over Bones to the project since he'd been struggling to find a suitable performer for the song.
