Biography
The Boom Da Bash (usually written BoomDaBash) is an Italian musical group of Salento origin, between the provinces of Brindisi and Lecce.
They differ from other reggae groups thanks to their incorporation of soul, drum and bass and hip hop elements, all orchestrated by synthesizers, electronic sounds, uprooting guitars and one drop rhythms, elements that have made the group one of the most more interesting and innovative on the Italian scene and one of the best groups emerged in the Italian reggae scene in recent years.
The group is also active in the social field: in fact they participated in the protest rally against the mafia in Mesagne , organized following the tragedy occurred at the entrance of the Morvillo-Falcone institute, the place in which Melissa Bassi lost his life in 2012.
Loredana Bertè (born 20 September 1950) is an Italian singer. In her long career she has worked with some of the best Italian songwriters such as Pino Daniele, Ivano Fossati, Mario Lavezzi, Mango and Enrico Ruggeri, among others. She has experimented with different genres, from rock to reggae, from funk to pop. Her sister Mia Martini was also a prominent singer. Bertè is known for the eccentric clothing she wears onstage for her performances.
