Hooja is an electronic duo from Gällivare consisting of the characters Hooja and DJ Mårdhund.
The members' real identities are not known to the public and they disguise themselves with sunglasses and scooter masks at performances and in interviews. The lyrics are in Swedish and are sung with a Norbottnian or Finnish dialect and make use of stereotypical Norsemen and Stockholmers. The duo has repeatedly received attention in the nationwide media and will do their first tour in Sweden in the summer of 2022.
The name Hooja is a Norrland reinforcement word used to reinforce something, for example "Hooja: how cold it is".
