Biography
Jonas Benyoub is a name that is getting more and more familiar to Norwegian music fans and the hip-hop scene in particular.
The year 2022 started with a bang for the Oslo-based rapper with a feature on the new Karpe project “Omar Sheriff”. The song BARAF / FAIRUZ garnered great praise, and Jonas' verse was quickly mentioned by many as the highlight of the song.
From working with Unge Ferrari/Stig Brenner, Hkeem and Temuur, to appearing on songs with local rap giants such as Tommy Tee, Lars Vaular and Yosef (Madcon) to name a few, Benyoub has established himself as an artist and songwriter.
The dream of being able to play music came to him through the local youth clubs at Ellingsrud and Furuset in Oslo, and he later on decided to drop out of high school to pursue the dream of becoming an artist full time. It turned out his choice was not in vain. He’s debut single "Youm Wara Youm" was released in 2017, and was synched in the highly praised Norwegian TV-series “SKAM”.
With the release of his debut album “Zero Love” in April, it will be very interesting to see what the future has in store for this multi talent.
