Shifta is a dancehall, reggae, and international pop music artist who was originally from
Jamaica but spent much of his time growing up in Miami. Shifta's father, Daddy Fras aka Piper of Piper Records, is a prominent Jamaican music industry professional and label owner who provided the first platform for some of the island's most popular artists including Reggie Stepper and Lady Saw. This access to so many great entertainers intrigued Shifta, sparking a strong passion for music and performance at a very young age. Though he later found himself living in Miami, Shifta never let his devotion to reggae and dancehall music dwindle as he collaborated with local producers and artists to build his own team of creatives and business professionals who call themselves the "Fras Krew".
Determined to establish the Caribbean entertainment movement he dreamed about as a young man, Shifta moved back to
Jamaica to pursue the heart of the reggae dancehall scene, building his empire from the streets up. Thrown into one of the most competitive entertainment markets in the world, Shifta took advantage of every opportunity to record, perform, and establish his timeless brand of music every chance he got.
