'Choosing Death': The improbable history of Death Metal & Grindcore' now available

NEW YORK (www.choosingdeath.com) - The long-awaited book, released via Feral House, revisits critical moments in the history of the grindcore and death metal genres. Choosing Death, which features an introduction by internationally respected DJ John Peel, conquers the lofty task of telling the two-decade-long history of this underground art form through interviews with some of the most esteemed names in these musical genres, from musicians to producers to label heads.

The exhaustively researched book, which saw author Mudrian interview upwards of 100 legendary underground music names, has met to a warm sales response in the days since its release. "After two years of laboring on the book, I'm thrilled that people are finally getting the chance to read it," said Mudrian. "I was surprised how much I learned from writing it and I hope readers learn just as much."

Additionally, Mudrian has announced a series of Choosing Death book signings. Mudrian will appear at a host of metal-related events in the coming months to promote the book and meet with metal fans.
