Sony Music Masterworks Signs Vocal Superstar Jackie Evancho To Worldwide Recording Agreement On Portrait Records

New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Sony Music Masterworks) Sony Music Masterworks announces a worldwide recording agreement with platinum selling classical-crossover artist Jackie Evancho. Her new album, Awakening will be released on the Portrait Records imprint on September 30, 2014 coinciding with an International tour.

At 10 years old Jackie gained worldwide recognition after making a stunning debut on NBC's America's Got Talent. She was immediately signed to Columbia Records where she released a string of successful recordings including O Holy Night (certified Platinum), Dream With Me (certified Gold), Heavenly Christmas and Songs From The Silver Screen. In 2012 Jackie made her acting debut in Robert Redford's The Company You Keep alongside Susan Sarandon, Shia LeBeouf and Nick Nolte, and performed as a special guest in Cirque du Soleil's "One Night for One Drop" benefit at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. She also starred in the Fall 2012 and 2013 GUESS Kids clothing campaign. Her broad successes lead Billboard Magazine to include Jackie on their list of "music movers-and-shakers under the age of 21" in 2011 and again in 2012.
