New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Austin guitar/drums duo The
Ghost Wolves, fresh from a performance at Austin's Psych Fest, will launch their national tour with a hometown record release show May 24 followed by a Waterloo Records in-store May 26. The gritty duo's new album 'Man Woman Beast' is out May 27th on Nashville's Plowboy Records.
The married duo create a sound that evokes "the gritty sexiness of The Cramps" says The Austin Chronicle, comparing frontwoman Carley Wolf to a "punk rock Dolly Parton." Carley lurches and jerks the duo through sludgy garage pop, sometimes on a wailing one-string guitar. The band recorded their new album at Arlyn Studios, where Ray Charles, Willie
Nelson and Stevie Ray Vaughan have taped.
