Plymouth Brethren Start At The Very Beginning With "EPOne"
CAMBRIDGE, UK (Top40 Charts/ Quite Great PR) With producer Greg Fitzgerald (Madonna, Kylie, Jessica Simpson) playing a part in the EP, and with support already from Tom Robinson on BBC Radio 6 Music, Plymouth Brethren is the new project from the skilled mind of songwriter James Delin. The debut EP, fittingly titled 'EPOne', will be released through Delin's own imprint Angel Recordings.

Although it's early days, Plymouth Brethren is already enjoying high praise from several quarters, particularly for EP lead track 'Satin on Silk'. Inspired by the ongoing battle with one's insecurities, it's no coincidence that the title initials are S.O.S., and the track ends with a triumphant refrain 'you take me as I am or not at all'.

You can hear the track here:

Track two, 'Glue', is described as a 'love letter with a twist', about a relationship that should never have been. Full of off kilter sounds and distorted perspectives, it's designed to make the listener as uncomfortable as the relationship itself.

Finally, closing the EP is 'Deeper'. Written about 'falling into a relationship faster than one would necessarily like to', 'Deeper' is full of potent imagery likening the experience to addiction, and substance intoxication.

Delin's song writing is driven by an ongoing battle with adult onset scoliosis (acurved spine), which has left him with a strict regime of exercise and medication to minimise the pain. It's a condition which he feels informs his writing - not specifically in the lyrics, but as a constant inspiration to his stubbornly creative mind.

And with two Batchelor's degrees- a BA (Hons) in Philosophy and a BSc (Hons) in Music Production and Business Management - to his name, it's a creative mind to be reckoned with.

'EPOne' is released June 16th
