(Nashville, TN (Top40 Charts/ Sunshine Sachs) Country star
Trace Adkins will return to the stage beginning June 5th at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ and continuing into the fall (dates below). Throughout early 2014, Adkins stepped out of the spotlight to face personal loss and setbacks head-on. Now, the rugged entertainer is set to re-enter the spotlight with his six-piece band, the Sarepta Gentleman's Club.
"I'm excited, recharged and ready to get back on the road. I owe a debt of gratitude to everyone for the outpouring of encouragement and support over the past few months. It's hard to put into words how much comfort you take from hearing 'We've got your back.' So these shows are for you guys - thanks."
In early May, Trace attended the Hollywood premiere of Moms Night Out, the family-friendly film which landed in the top ten its first two weeks at the box office. In the movie, Trace plays "Bones," a tattoo-artist, biker, and the unlikely voice of reason alongside Sean Astin,
Sarah Drew, and
Patricia Heaton. Later in May, Trace traveled to New York City to kick off Macy's "American Icons" campaign in support of Got Your 6, an organization focused on veterans and military families.
With a deep discography of hits, newly written songs and plans to revisit the back-catalogue, Adkins' summer dates promise the range of sentimental-meets-straight-shooter material he's known for. On the road, he'll be joined by Wayne Addleman (steel guitar, guitars), Jon Coleman (keyboards), Mark Gillespie (guitars), John Richardson (drums), Brian Wooten (guitars), and session ace Mike Brignardello (bass).
