London (Top40 Charts/ Studio Killers) Studio
Killers is a band like no other, combining a hard-driving sound with innovative audiovisual effects that excite and amaze. To date, most of their outrageous performances have only been seen on-line but they are taking their show on the road this summer and are hoping to extend the tour into 2015.
They will, however, need some help from their fans around the world. Because their show utilizes props, HD projectors, special effects and other types of expensive equipment, Studio
Killers - Cherry, Goldie Foxx and Dyna Mink - are looking for some financial assistance.
"Some of our stage props cost thousands of pounds to manufacture," explained Foxx. "Hiring screens and projectors as well as the whiz kids to operate them costs a small fortune."
In addition, the proposed world tour is an expensive proposition. In order to generate the necessary capital, the band has launched a Kickstarter campaign, which can be viewed at www.kickstarter.com/projects/studio-killers/studio-killers-were-going-to-perform-live.
The goal is 50,000 pounds ($84,000 US) and so far, the Kickstarter campaign has raised nearly 23,000 pounds (about $38,000 US), a strong testament to the Studio Killers' global popularity.
Donations of any amount are welcome. For donations of 10 pounds or more, backers will receive audio and video tracks. Those pledging 35 pounds or more will receive autographed DVDs, original artwork and use of their names in the live show visuals.
First stop for the Studio
Killers tour is Finland in July, where they will be co-headlining at two summer festivals in front of more than 10,000 people. Unfortunately, the performance fees will not cover the band's total expenses for these shows so Studio
Killers are looking to recoup some of their investment through Kickstarter.
"As we see the production develop for our Finnish shows, we are getting very excited about how amazing the shows are going to look," said Foxx. "We have spent the last six months creating a scenario whereby we can take Studio
Killers to a whole new level."
Cherry is counting on the band's fans to support the live tour. "You can be part of the creation of something unique," she said. "Even if you can't get to one of our early shows, we'll be filming them, so you can experience them for yourself, from the comfort of your electronic device."
