Andy Grammer Reveals Details For 'Magazines Or Novels'; Music Video For Single 'Back Home' Premieres Today!
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Acclaimed platinum-selling singer, songwriter, musician ANDY GRAMMER has revealed his forthcoming album will be titled MAGAZINES OR NOVELS and it will be released Tuesday, August 5 on S-Curve Records.

"While I was writing this album I kept seeing magazine and newspaper stands with their constantly changing covers and headlines and thinking how they come and go so fast," explains ANDY of the album title. "I had to write about 100 songs to get 13 I felt had something grounded and timeless about it. I don't know if I achieved my goal but I hope I was able to create songs that were timeless and not something that would come and go off the newsstands. I hope this collection of songs can have the staying power in someone's life like a favorite novel or book."

In other exciting news, today Andy premiered the new music video for the album's first single "Back Home." Watch it now below:

The video-directed by Justin Baldoni and shot in Salt Lake City-features ANDY performing to a crowd of over 9,000 people with coordinated color tosses where fans were asked to throw colored powder in the air. The resulting images capture the essence of the song and the thrill of being young, wild and free. "'Back Home' has that massive group vocal in the chorus," ANDY tells Billboard.com about the inspiration for the video. "This video needed to feel enormous. The capacity crowd singing amidst a 'colorsplosion' was exactly what it called for."

Also happening today, ANDY kicks off his national headlining summer tour in Phoenix, AZ. He is bringing along support acts Andrew Ripp and Brendan James, with special guest Kate Voegele opening up the first four dates along with James. On Monday, June 16ANDY will take a day off from the tour to make his debut at the legendary Hollywood Bowl alongside Ed Sheeran, Demi Lovato and Colbie Caillat as part of Los Angeles radio station 104.3 MYFM's "My Big Night Out." Tickets for this show are on sale now here. ANDY will then continue his headlining run with shows in Nashville, Atlanta, Orlando and Boston, before hitting New York City on June 26 to perform that morning on "Good Morning America" with a full show at Irving Plaza later that night. The summer tour will also stop off in Philadelphia, Chicago, Minneapolis, Denver, Seattle, Portland and San Francisco before wrapping July 19 at the House of Blues in San Diego, CA. The full itinerary is below and ticket info can be found at www.andygrammer.com/tour.

"Back Home" is the Los Angeles-based musician's first new music since his 2011 self-titled debut album which featured the massive hits "Keep Your Head Up," "Fine By Me," and "Miss Me." The response from both fans and media has been strong. PopCrush.com raved, "It seems like the years haven't changed Andy's knack for writing spirited pop anthems. 'Back Home' has the same infectious feel as his former chart-topping singles, and the same positive, invincible attitude. The lyrics are perfect for a fun summer track: 'Here's to nights that you can't take back / We live hard but we love to laugh.' And we dare you to try not to sing along to the chorus — it is too catchy not to." (5/9/14). Elsewhere, Popdust.com noted, "Andy Grammer gives enlightened meaning to arena-sized pop with his brand spanking new single 'Back Home.' Filtered through the indie-folk lens…he always stays true to who he is," while OK! Magazine wrote, "…we promise he'll be a household name after radio gets a hold of this song" (4/1/14) and ArtistDirect.com proclaimed, "'Back Home' is set to be one of the summer's biggest anthems." (4/23/14)

The reaction at radio has been equally as exciting. "Back Home"officially impacted Hot AC radio May 12 but the song earned early support nationally several weeks before that. Major market supporters include SiriusXM's The Pulse, KBIG in Los Angeles, KIMN in Denver, WBMX in Boston, WBZZ in Pittsburgh, KFMB in San Diego, WIAD in Washington D.C., WNTR in Indianapolis, WTIC in Hartford, WOMX in Orlando, KYKY in St. Louis, and many more. "Back Home" has broken into the Top 30 on the Billboard/BDS airplay chart and continues climbing.
