Caleidra’s School Tour: Teenstar who made it big with GCSE music song goes back to inspire the next generation

Caleidra's School Tour: Teenstar who made it big with GCSE music song goes back to inspire the next generation

New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Quite Great PR) Caleidra is a young singer songwriter from Manchester. As a multi-instrumentalist with powerful raw vocal talent it's no wonder her EP 'Another Day' saw so much success.

Check out this video to get an introduction to Caleidra:

To mark her 18th birthday, the young singer songwriter will be completing a tour of several high schools in the hope of inspiring other promising talent to grab their dreams of being a part of the music industry and to promote her own new found success. The tour will also follow on from her finishing her own 'A' Levels, signing a global publishing deal and having one of her songs played nationally on an advert for 'Talk Talk' (sponsors of the X Factor!)

17 year old Caleidra first appeared on TV after a song she wrote for her GCSE music exam led to her being snapped up by one of the world's most successful producers, John McLaughlin (Busted, 911, Westlife), and also Jud Mahoney (Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Chris Brown). With added assistance from Co-writer Sara Eker (Atomic Kitten, Honeyz, Dannii Minogue).

Aside from these achievements, Caleidra has appeared on ITV Granada Reports, performed live on BBC Radio Manchester, been featured on ITV Daybreak, in teen magazines Mizz, Shout and MyBliss, Indie Music Mag and Music Week and described in the national press as:

'Musically gifted' (The Independent) 'A grade A hit' (The Metro) 'A bright future ahead' (The Times) 'Something special' (The Guardian) 'Gifted Teenager' (Indie Music Mag) 'She looks like a pop star, she sounds like a pop star' (ITV) 'Brilliant! Absolutely Brilliant!' (BBC Radio) 'Teen Star' (Mizz Magazine) 'Talented Songwriter' (Music Week)
With over 10,000 fans on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/caleidra), a 1/4 million views on https://www.youtube.com/caleidra, 5000 followers on Twitter (https://twitter.com/caleidra13) and an EP produced by one of the world's greatest producers, John McLaughlin, Caleidra is certainly an artist to watch out for.

Having already performed in front of thousands of people during two concerts at the Etihad Stadium, at Winterfest in Glasgow, the Salford Music Festival, Dry Live (during the Manchester International Festival) and Roadhouse alongside hosting her own radio show every Saturday on North Manchester 106.6 FM, Caleidra even at such a young age appears to be one of the hardest working artists in the industry.
