New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Cross Seas Entertainment) After a 3 year break from the music industry, Cross Seas Entertainment's artist Blee returns with a new album entitled 'The
Black Lion Chronicles Chapter 4: Choose Love'. Continuing the 'Blee Day', Friday the 13th takeover theme for the Chapters of the Chronicles, the much anticipated album release will be in June 2014 on Friday 13th.
Unlike the previous two albums The
Black Lion Chronicles Chapter 2: Respect Your Legacy and The
Black Lion Chronicles Chapter 3: The Second Son, Chapter 4 highlights a different side to the rapper, who's already had hit songs featured in TV series True Blood and Lincoln Heights. The brand new album is best described as a "fusion of Hip Hop, Reggae and Electronic Dance sounds"
The album oscillates between chill and hype songs that really keeps the audience on their toes. "The
Black Lion Chronicles Chapter 4: Choose Love" definitely has an old school feel to the compositions that is rare in hip-hop today. I personally admire when talented artists can bring back traditional styles of music and transform them into something new and authentic. I think the word to describe this group would be refreshing and Blee has definitely found his true north in the hip-hop genre.
You can tell that Blee puts in a lot of work, not only in the studio, but on an engineering aspect as well. The instrumentals are very clear and the vocals really cut through the mixes, which is uncommon of independent artists today.
Most independent artists just want to push any song out no matter what the quality; you have to respect a musician who puts that much time and dedication into their artwork.
Blee's new LP "The
Black Lion Chronicles Chapter 4: Choose Love" is in stores on June 13th and if you want to hear great, conscious music that is leading this genre in the right direction, get it!
