LOS ANGELES, CA (Top40 Charts/ Kalimba Music) The highly-anticipated relaunch of legendary
Earth, Wind & Fire founder Maurice White's
Kalimba Music label (www.kalimba-music.com) is off to an explosive start.
"Never," the lead single from the re-mastered collector's edition of Earth, Wind & Fire's hit album The Promise, continues as a rising force on both terrestrial and internet smooth jazz radio.
In all, "
Never" is receiving airplay on over 50 stations, including Billboard reporting outlets WVSU in Birmingham AL and WNWV in Cleveland, OH; specialty shows in San Antonio and San
Diego and in the UK on BBC Radio's "The Paul Miller Show" and Smooth Grooves radio.
In addition, Kalimba's first signed artist, composer/keyboardist Greg Manning, recently finished mastering his label debut Dance With You for a July 8 release. In addition to Manning's previous hit single also titled "
Dance With You" along with "
Groove Me" (featuring saxman Elan Trotman), the 11-track collection will include the newly released track "Cruisin' Down The Road," featuring chart-topping saxophonist
Vincent Ingala, which goes for radio adds beginning June 23.
Manning's first instrumental single "
Dance With You" was a popular genre airplay hit in 2013 -- reaching #1 on the taste-making chart, The Smooth Jazz Top 20 with Allen Kepler.
White, who originally established
Kalimba Music in 2003 as a vehicle to promote
Earth, Wind & Fire as well as up and coming performers, decided to relaunch based on his passion and love for music and worthy artists.
