Illuminate Me (Feat. Garret Rapp) Premieres New Track "Voodoo Blues"
Tampa, FL (Top40 Charts/ Tragic Hero Records) The five-piece punk/metalcore group Illuminate Me has teamed up with AltPress to premiere their new song "Voodoo Blues." Garret Rapp from The Color Morale lends his signature clean vocals to this explosive track. He is just one of the guest vocalists that will appear on the bands upcoming debut album I have Become a Corpse (other names include Landon Tewers of The Plot In You and Jerry Roush of Glasscloud). The album will be out via Tragic Hero Records on July 15th, but you can pre-order it now.

"'Voodoo Blues,' featuring the very talented Garret Rapp, is a track about the spell that love can cast on you and how you feel when you realize how fake it's all been, "says writer Barrett Stephens. "'An empty stomach and pissed off motives. Cut my goddamn wrists, I'll give you the verdict. Play me off, play me off just like the rest you touch!' Those words pretty much sum up what encompasses this track, the instrumentals in this track really draw you in, bash your skull and leave you wanting more."

"We have spent countless months, weeks, and hours on this album to make it close to perfect in our eyes," says vocalist Christopher Murray. "It shows how much we have grown since our EP Crawlspace and how we've expanded the idea that this band is more than just a band. For us it's a movement and we hope you can join us to illuminate the world."

The overall theme of the album tells a story of someone who gave up all their passions and dreams for the sake of others. This person is seeking another's approval or happiness while neglecting their own. If you'd like to hear where this story goes, pre-order the record and while you're at it, you can pick up exclusive merch from the band.
Illuminate Me - Voodoo Blues (feat. Garret Rapp)

About Illuminate Me:
Illuminate Me is a 5-piece Punk/Metalcore act based across Tampa and Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The band originated as a beginning studio project under the brothers, Chris and Corey Jacobsen, to work on mixing and writing. Christopher Murray (ex-Sailing With Ghosts) contacted the band after hearing their music online. He added his own vocals to the recordings and after sending them to the group they knew they had found the right voice for their songs. The trio then released their debut EP titled Crawlspace digitally. This caught the attention of the South Florida music scene so the three decided to add more members and make it a full live band. Kevin Hatton and Anthony Burke then joined along and performed across all of Florida and the Southeastern states putting on a live show that would be deemed "intense" and "energetic" by their peers. Their debut LP I Have Become a Corpse will be released on Tragic Hero Records and features some of the best guest vocalists in the business such as Garret Rapp (The Color Morale), Jerry Roush (Glasscloud), and Landon Tewers (The Plot In You). You can catch Illuminate Me on tour throughout 2014.
