The Black Keys Meet Sublime On Skunkmello's Debut Full-Length Album 'Stars & Stripes,' Coming September 16, 2014
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Skunkmello official website) Skunkmello, a three-piece blues-rock band based in New York City, is set to release their debut full-length album, Stars & Stripes, on September 16 via the Moped Music label. Combining the urgency and simplicity of The Black Keys with the feel-good, genre-bending summer vibes of Sublime and the singer-songwriter storytelling of country-folk troubadour Townes Van Zandt, the record underscores and celebrates the tradition of rock and roll with brazen irreverence.

The album's first single, also titled "Stars & Stripes," will be available for purchase via iTunes on July 1 and is streaming now on RSLblog.com [https://www.rslblog.com/2014/06/stars-stripes-by-skunkmello.html]. It was also featured on this week's edition of Outlaw Roadshow Radio, which aired June 28 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on WEMF Radio [https://wemfradio.com]. The track is an uptempo, tongue-in-cheek tribute to the band's beloved homeland, complete with growling slide guitars, danceable rhythmic interplay, and sardonic lyrics that examine young America's aptitude for oblivion in pursuit of a good time.

The album's full tracklisting is below. To download hi-res album art and press photos, click here [https://www.dropbox.com/sh/9bqmttyt8ug2d4u/AADHh4TCYp4VseljREUfpsHea].
