Vince Staples was raised in Long Beach, CA where he attended many different schools in the district. He became associated with Odd Future's producer, Syd tha Kyd, when he was kicked out of his house and moved in with him. Vince still frequently collaborates with OFWGKTA members, especially Mike G and Earl Sweatshirt. He is best known for his collaboration with
Mac Miller on his earlier album "Stolen Youth" that was produced by Mac under his alias Larry Fisherman.
Vince Staples is one-third of a hiphop group, which includes fellow California rappers Joey Fatts and Aston Matthews. Together they are known as the Cutthroat Boyz.
Touring and working with many talented artists, such as Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, Da$H, and Jhene Aiko, has given Vince the confidence to embrace his uniqueness and tune out the negativity.
