VALERIE BROUSSARD:
Valerie Broussard was born and raised in Springfield, Pennsylvania where she first exhibited a love of performing when she insisted on singing Aretha Franklin's 'Respect' at the library talent show. She was six years old.
After high school,
Valerie moved to England to study philosophy at University College London. At UCL she focused on political theory and ethics and wrote a dissertation on ethics and audience emotional reaction in the performing arts. While completing undergraduate and graduate degrees, she continued to perform in musicals and was featured in two professional operas. During that time she made her live rock debut alongside acclaimed British blues artist Will Johns at 12 Bar in London.
Recent performing highlights include MSK's Pre-Grammy Party (Los Angeles) The 100 Club (London), and The Basement (Nashville).
FUTURE DEAD GUYS: Born out of a long-gestating plan by bassist Ron Moore to convince his nephew to move to New York,
Future Dead Guys first creaked to life in January 2011 when said nephew (frontman Drew Broussard) joined Moore and drummer Adam Platka for a boozy jam session.
Chemistry was quickly evident and after quite a lot of time resisting the inevitable, they all agreed to get slightly more serious about the thing. The trio plays a blend of rock, blues, jazz, and pop - the sound of a collective 100+ years on the planet and music influences to match. They've decided that the time is right to unleash the grooves. The world will never be the same.
JAKE SIMS: Jake Sims first caught the public eye when he was awarded Best Male Vocalist by BBC Gloucestershire. His YouTube covers have garnered over 150,000 views and 50,000 hits for his original material on Soundcloud. After winning the prestigious 'Best Male Vocalist' in the C.Y.S Voice Of Wales, he was invited to headline at St. David's Hall.
Since then, he has headlined for the
Elton John Aids Foundation at
Kensington Roof Gardens for 'Revival', an event hosted by Alan Carr. Over the past six months, Jake has performed to thousands of people in venues that include The
Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, The Pheasantry in South
Kensington and Oxford
Streets 100 Club.
