Country artist Kellie Coffey records 'America, The Beautiful' - singer offers free download on her website

NASHVILLE, TN. (www.kelliecoffey.com) - Country artist Kellie Coffey has recorded a version of "America, The Beautiful" and is offering a free download of the song on her website beginning Wednesday, October 13.

Coffey, best known for her hit song "When You Lie Next To Me," won the 2003 Academy of Country Music's Top New Female Award and has toured with Kenny Chesney and George Strait over the last year and a half. This summer, Coffey began closing her shows with an acoustic version of "America The Beautiful" as a tribute to those serving in uniform and requests began pouring onto her website for a recorded version of the song.
"I just don't feel it's right to charge people for that song," says Coffey. "It belongs to all of us as Americans. It's a little thing, but it's my way of saying thank you to the troops and their families who have sacrificed so much to protect us."

Coffey is currently writing and recording songs for a new album and continues to tour, with upcoming concerts in Poquoson, VA (10/17) and Gilmer, TX (10/23).
