TORONTO, CANADA (Top40 Charts/ ole) ole-bluestone, a music publishing co-venture between ole and iconic super producer Timbaland, has completed a worldwide co-publishing deal with Justin "Capo" Andrews, an up-and-coming artist, rapper, and songwriter who is attracting serious attention from numerous industry suitors and tastemakers.
"Justin is already on the road to success, and we're happy to help push him forward with ole-bluestone," said Leo V. Williams, General Manager of Creative (Los Angeles) for ole. "The amount of attention he is getting in the industry brings to mind the frenzy that surrounded
Drake when he was just starting out. It will be exciting to help him grow."
"Justin is primed to be a breakout artist and songwriter," said ole-bluestone's Eric Spence. "Since we started working with him, we've seen some real parallels with other successful Southern hip-hop writers like Timothy Clayton, aka Attitude, who wrote
Nelly Furtado's 'Promiscuous.' There's really no telling how far he can go!"
"It's been a whirlwind over the last few months, but I'm happy to come out of it with the support of a company like ole-bluestone," said Andrews. "The more I get to know and work with the staff here, the more impressed I am with their knowledge of what it takes to be a successful artist and songwriter in today's industry. I'm looking forward to big things with them."
Andrews joins a growing stable of talent at ole that also includes seminal prog-rock band Rush,
Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, and up-and-coming country artists Tyler Farr, Josh Dorr, Sam Grow, and
Jesse Rice, among many others. ole-bluestone also has existing deals in place with Garland "Sebastian" Mosley, and Clare Reynolds.
