Issa Asad, Miami-Based Electronic Improvisation Artist, Releases Self-Entitled Album
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Issa Asad, a Miami-based pianist composer and drummer, recently released his debut album, "Issa Asad". The record hosts 20 tracks with a diverse array of Free Acoustic and Electronic Improvisation styling's that have strong influences from Avant-Garde Jazz. Issa Asad is accompanied by various artists in his self-entitled CD.

Issa Asad is a Miami-based drummer and pianist composer with over 20 years of experience in the music industry. Asad was born in Okinawa, Japan, and moved to Miami, FL, in the mid-1980s. For more than a decade, Asad traveled and lived around the world, with Milan, Italy, being his last travel destination.

Taking inspiration from his years of international travel, Asad created his distinct Free Acoustic and Electronic Improvisation style, which is heard consistently throughout "Issa Asad."

"I have spent many years curating my musical style," said Asad. "I took my years of world travel and put it all into my album."

The album's unique Electronic Improvisation style is out there for all ears to hear; it is unquestionably, undeniably unique. The album is unashamed in its efforts and proud of its achievements. Asad has managed to mix and curate some of the most interesting and stimulating music in the Avant-Garde Jazz genre.

Track three, "Baby Oil (Adventures in Language Approximations)", features Asad live using electronic drums and generated vocalizations. Track 11, "Gourmet Electricity", with Asad on keyboard and guest artist Aimer Wolfe on drums, takes the mystique of Jazz and puts a modern indie spin on it.

A three-part series on tracks six through eight, called "Squelch TV Analysis", is melodic and blazing; the series has Asad on the keyboards and piano and is backed by a super tight rhythm section comprised of Chris Corsano on percussion and winds and Kenny Millions on trombone, guitar and vocals.

Most of the tracks on "Issa Asad" feature collaborations with other Electronic Improvisation, Free Acoustic and Avant-Garde Jazz artists located in the Miami area. Out of 20 songs, 14 of them offer samplings of musical work from artists other than Asad.

"The artists I work with are some of the most talented people I have ever met," said Asad. "I am delighted that the South Florida area is brimming with these gifted and skilled artists."

Although Asad spent years traveling around the world, he says he has found his permanent home in Miami. "Traveling has helped me find the inspiration to create my first album, but I am sure that the place I want to continue making my music is in Miami," said Asad.
