Early Starting Singer/Songwriter's Voice Wows BBC Radio 1's Jen And Ally With First Single
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Samantha Durnan, living in the UK's North East, started writing and playing her own songs on guitar before she knew about eye-liner.

INSTRUMENTS
Although she works with a backing band, Samantha is one of those people who accomplished all the instruments she wanted in her songs, which she has been writing and performing as much as she can from the earliest age.

Encouraged to work hard by responses to her talent, Samantha was praised by Jen and Ally from Radio One who gave her airplay and commented "Wow, what a voice".

Inspired by current and classic alternative rock artists alike including Stevie Nicks, KT Tunstall and Michelle Branch, Samantha is moving to London to further progress her burgeoning music career. In 2013 she quit her day job to focus on music full time.

PERFORMED
Samantha has performed extensively across venues in the North East and supported Ed Sheeran for two years. While on the road, she kept working on her forthcoming EP.

She's also shared stages with Beverly Knight, Kate Nash, Amelia Lily, Cover Drive, The Hoosiers as the support act and was invited to attend Abbey Road/Maida Vale Studios to receive a musicians' masterclass alongside established and emerging artists selected by the BBC.

Following the fast and positive response she has received so far, Samantha has tours booked in Australia, Texas and Dubai to coincide with her forthcoming album.

POWERFUL
Bob Fischer of BBC Introducing says: "As soon as I heard the songs from Samantha's EP I was knocked out - very powerful and emotional stuff, and she's got a fabulous voice."

More reviews:
TFM: ''Her music kept the audience up-beat and set the tone for female independence... ''
The Circuit: ''She has the promise of a beautiful voice along with a great talent for song writing.''

Soundbites: ''Samantha Durnan went down a storm at Stockton Fringe Festival, big voice, big future.''

Amazing Radio: ''If you took this girls vocals, and stuck her on something like a rudimental track, I think she would absolutely nail it and it would bring a really nice sound to a modern day track''

Gazette: 'Voice of an angel'... 'A truly talented young Middlesbrough Songstress'
Samantha Durnan releases a self-titled EP with a single "Who Would Have Thought" to be released on 10th November 2014.

Additionally to acoustic songs in her set, Samantha on vocals and guitar is accompanied by Steph Hooton, bass, Chris Groom, piano, Dave Rutherford, guitar, and Craig Lewis on drums.
