Private Studios, mastered at the Grammy nominated Norcal Studios in São Paulo, Brazil by Brendan Duffey and produced by the band.
The new EP shows the maturing of the band's sound and image. Marked by exceptional arrangements, soulful guitars by
Jesse Mercier and the strong emotional vocals of lead vocalist and bass player Gee, the self-entitled five songs EP is a statement for all of those who love rock and roll without having to place it under any label.
Blue Daven's Code is just simply "rock music from the bottom of their hearts", with "gut-spilled emotions". Songs range from the deep emotional "Standing" to the hit safe "Trouble in Paradise" or the heavy rock juggernaut "Bad Seeds", these 5 songs will take you far from Quebec City right into all the capitals of the world back to the mountains of distant Tibet in split seconds.
Back in 2011 at the very dawn of the band Blue Daven's Code showed that they were not just another band by finishing in 2nd place at the prestigious Budweiser's "Omnium du Rock" battle of the bands, beating out 42 bands in the process. Filled with hope and enthusiasm, BDC continued relentlessly to tour and record until in 2013 the band released the single "
Dangerous" and got airplay on major radios in Canada, such as CFWF (Regina, SK), CIKR (Kingston, ON), CJRX (Lethbridge, AB), CKMH (Medicine Hat, AB) and being a featured on the notorious " 'New Rock Nation' show.
To promote the new EP, BDC releases the new single, "Trouble in Paradise". The choice of this song was made after the band showcased it to a select group of listeners around the world, and the feedback was nothing short of impressive. Quotes ranging from "It gets me in the zone when I listen to it" to "I want to hear this song on repeat!" were some amongst many, praising the musicianship and the composition of the song.
