Milo Greene Takes "Control" With Eagerly Awaited New Album
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Elektra Records) Elektra/Chop Shop recording group Milo Greene has announced details of their eagerly awaited new album, "CONTROL" - which follows 2012's acclaimed eponymous debut. "CONTROL" arrives January 27, 2015.

"CONTROL" is preceded by the new album track, "White Lies," which premiered earlier today at NOISEY. The lyric video for "White Lies" can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/u91m9gxKQIU. Four album tracks will be available before release as monthly instant grat downloads with "CONTROL" pre-order, set to begin September 30th on the iTunes Store.

Milo Greene will tour extensively in support of "CONTROL" with a month of North American dates alongside Bombay Bicycle Club; including a string of headlining shows along the way. A 2015 headline tour will be announced later this year. For complete details and regularly updated tour information, please visit www.milogreene.com.

"CONTROL" was recorded earlier this year with producer Jesse Shatkin (Sia, Foster The People, Ellie Goulding) at his Highland Park, California home studio. The band also enlisted the help of legendary drummer Joey Waronker (Beck, Atoms For Peace, R.E.M.), who shaped much of the album's complex rhythmic backdrop while also contributing drums to a number of tracks.

Milo Greene - that is, Andrew Heringer, Robbie Arnett, Marlana Sheetz, and Graham Fink - began making music in 2009. As the group made their cinematic debut album, released in 2012, Milo Greene, a fictional character the band had created, shifted into a fully tangible being, a force created by four distinct songwriters and musicians whose collaboration consistently remains its core. The Los Angeles-based group quickly earned national acclaim, with NPR Music singling them out as one of 2011's most promising new acts and Esquire placing them on its list of "2012's Artists to Watch."

That promise was fulfilled on 2012's Chop Shop/The Atlantic debut album, "MILO GREENE." Highlighted by singles like "1957" and "What's The Matter," the collection proved a critical and popular sensation, entering Billboard's "Heatseekers Albums" chart at #1 while receiving ecstatic praise from major publications nationwide for their idiosyncratic hooks, infectious male/female harmonies, and inventive indie-pop approach.

Milo Greene made a number of high profile TV appearances to celebrate the album, including CBS' Late Show with David Letterman, NBC's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and TBS' Conan. What's more, many of the stand-out songs on "MILO GREENE" were heard on a wide variety of film and TV soundtracks, with the album's "Perfectly Aligned" currently featured in the first trailer to director Tim Burton's hugely anticipated new film, Big Eyes, streaming now at screen.yahoo.com/big-eyes-trailer-151825125.html. Big Eyes will be in theatres Christmas 2014.

Milo Greene further honed their distinctive popcraft by spending much of the past two years on the road, highlighted by countless headline dates in North America and Europe, in addition to showstopping performances at festivals including Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, and Lollapalooza.
