Houston and the
Texas Gulf Coast since the spring of 1965. The Veteran's Day Concert, during this Fiftieth Concert Season, will also honor Dr. Ray Moore (BAC
Director from 1974-1988) who will be making a guest appearance to conduct two movements of Thompson's The
Testament of Freedom and the

Director of Choral Activities at institutions such as Columbia University, the University of Houston, Lamar University, and Tascosa Senior High School in Amarillo, as well at the University of Arkansas at
Little Rock where he now holds the title of Professor Emeritus. Dr. Moore also writes and announces on KLRE, Arkansas' national public radio classical-music station, delivering Notes on Music, and short stories of unusual interest concerning music and musicians.
