Grammy Winner's "Dazzling" & "Elegant" Holiday Reinvention
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Mark O'Connor Announces 3rd Annual Appalachian Christmas Tour This December
Grammy-winning violinist Mark O'Connor will usher in the holiday season this December with his third annual 'An Appalachian Christmas' tour, performing "elegant" (New York Times) interpretations of Christmas classics found on his celebrated album of the same name, which American Songwriter called "an absolute delight."

The 16-date tour kicks off December 2nd in Greenville, NC and is the result of high demand after 2013's near sell-out tour that was praised as an "infectious mix of roots music" (The Oregonian). The tour demonstrated O'Connor's "dazzling skill" (Spartanburg Herald-Journal) as both a musician and composer capable of inserting a "warm blend of country, folk and classical to Christmas songs" (Willamette Week) including "O Christmas Tree," "Winter Wonderland," "Carol of the Bells," and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas."

Joining O'Connor on-stage will be several accomplished instrumentalists and singers including Cia Cherryholmes from bluegrass band Cherryholmes, fiddler and vocalist Carrie Rodriguez, guitarist Joe Smart, bassist Michael Rinne, and O'Connor's son Forrest on mandolin and vocals.
