New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Due to the success that Nashville's first female driven concert series has garnered, The Stomp has announced that it will continue with monthly shows throughout 2015. The lineup for The Stomp is currently being booked for 2015 with more details to come soon.
The third show of the series will take place tonight at Soulshine Pizza Factory and feature performances from Sonia Leigh, Morgan Frazier and creator of the series, Lyndsey Highlander.
"I could not be more thrilled with the turnout and support we have received for The Stomp so far," said Lyndsey. "The camaraderie that we have built amongst the ladies involved is something that I am a proud to be a part of and I am hoping this series will continue to take women one step closer to having a voice in the genre."
Lyndsey has been busy writing material for her debut album to be released in 2015. She will be performing the new material at The Stomp tonight and may even do a special collaboration performance with Sonia and Morgan.
The Stomp was recently featured as a series of articles in CMA's online member magazine, CMA CloseUp. Part one and part two can be viewed at CMACloseup.com. Reaching over 34 million households nationally, ZUUS Country will also be shooting footage from The Stomp for inclusion in their On The Rise segment in which Lyndsey will be a featured artist in 2015.
The Stomp concert series is a monthly event that highlights the women in Country music. Unfortunately, female artists are currently overlooked and do not have a large presence on Country radio. The Stomp concert series is attempting to knock down that wall and bring women to the forefront of Country music once again. All about the heart, passion and fire that women bring to the table, The Stomp concert series expands Country music through channeling its roots and highlighting powerful and strong women who remind the format that females are an essential part of the genre.
